What cars where used by Tennessee Highway Patrol?

The THP used Ford Custom 2 door sedans which were the dominate rolling stock for the Tennessee Highway patrol up until 1967. There were occasional orders for the Chevrolet 2 door Biscayne or a Dodge or Plymouth up until 1967 but they were rare. In 1966, the THP ordered 32 1967 Ford Custom 428's and that was it for the 2 doors. The next fords of 67 were 4 door models. In 1968, the THP switched to the Plymouth Fury which reigned supreme until the late 70's when the Dodge took over. They were choice until the late 80's when the Caprice became king. After'97 the Ford Crown Vic's became the car of choice and presently still is. Take into consideration that any year could have had a different make such as a Chevrolet or dodge that was ordered, but what I have listed were the dominate cars for the years.

Is brothers in laws' cars a correct term?

No. Definitely not. That would mean the cars of my brothers in laws. You mean the cars of your brothers in law. Try rewriting the sentence so it says the cars of my brothers in law. If you can't, you can try brothers in law's cars, which would mean cars of my brothers in law, but it's still not quite right.
