Pliers are good to help hold a bolt steady or help move something stuck like a radiator hose. But if you try to move a bolt that is obviously too tight you can mess up the hexagon head made for a specific wrench. This is especially true if the bold head is made of a soft metal like copper or brass. it is best to use the right tool for the right job.
