The number on your key means nothing but what number that key was on the production line. Sorry, but you'll just have to try some cars.
No, but your car dealer can get a new key by the VIN Number.
The key that was made with the car is registered to the car chassi-number. VIN number, whatever.
All they need is the VIN number on the car. 1FMDU34XONUA41755
It would be either on the inside of the door or in the manual.
I have two things to say about that, first of all, you car key is very hard to break, but if that DOES ever happen to you, get your car manual and call the warranty number, if there is one.
Get the vin number and go to the place you bought the car to get a key made. You will need the registration to the car.
go to a Lincoln dealer and they will use the car vin number to get a replacement key
go to the dealer with vin number to car
if you lost your key call a ford dealership with your vin number and stats of your car and they might be able to make you a new key
If you have the key number code and can prove that the car is yours then yes. It is always better to try to go to the selling dealer. Some car companies will give you a REAL hard time if you do not have the key code.
A Mazda Dealer's Parts Department can cut a new key from the car's VIN number.
If you have your old key you can call a local auto lock smith and they will be able to use that key to make another one. If you don't have that key then you need the key number for your car to cut that key for your car. Last option go back to the dealer and they will cut the key for you, it is costly though. Good Luck
