ok a three car fender bender. standard in most states this situation is usally handled by the different insurance companies. the local police will decide who is At Fault. but taking into consideration the condition of the road they most likely will not get involved unless an injury has taken place. my advice is claim innocence and let the insurance companies fight it out amongst themselves. you being caught in the middle most likely will be considered the victim of the whole thing.
it is ALLWAYS your fault for FOLOWING TOO CLOSE TO SAFELY STOP.
Who is at fault when a vehicle is hit from behind on a freeway the driver in front for putting on there brakes and whatpenal code does it follow under?
they are both at fault but the one behind is more to blame because you should know your safe stopping distance at the speed you are travelling.
Anyone who hits someone from behind is at fault. Even though it may seem like the driver in front shouldn't have done what they did.
No, it is not your fault. If you are hit when driving in front of somebody, it is their fault, irregardless of whether you slowed down or not. Obviously you can't jump in front of somebody and slam on the brakes, but just slowing down does not permit somebody to ram you.
The vehicle belongs to the company, and so does the liability that arrives out of it. It was your fault for driving the vehicle if you knew the brakes were bad, perhaps you were driving too fast for conditions. It was there fault for allowing you to drive a vehicle with bad brakes, this is called comparative neglegence which may put the blame on both of you from a common stand point, but from a legal. It's all on the company.
It must be the rear brakes at fault.
While weather and road conditions are factored towards accident causing, is always the drivers fault when an accident occurs as a result of these conditions. The theory behind this is that every driver must still maintain control of their vehicle, including, if necessary, slowing down or not even driving under these conditions.
is fault of car behind the second car not yours
If you are hit from behind it is usually always the guy that hit you that is at fault unless you were in reverse backing up

the driver behind is not at fault as the in front should be liable as he was negligent
