The liability is not determined by whether one of the driver's is an illegal alien or licensed. If you cause an accident with another vehicle, your insurance company will owe the claim regardless.
You dispute it in the same way you would any other unapproved claim: find witnesses and file a lawsuit. The answer by anonymous, is correct assuming you have full coverage. If you do not have collision insurance, they do not owe you for your car, and if you do not have liability (but then you wouldn't even have an insurance company since they wouldn't write any other coverage without it) they don't owe for the IA's damages either.
no it is illegal
Yes
No, it is not illegal for a homeowners insurance company to drop you. But they have to follow the rules for cancellations and non-renewals for the state they are operating in. For example, in Louisiana, if you have been with your homeowners insurance company for 3 years, they can't drop you. In Florida your homeowners insurance company can drop or cancel you but they must meet the minimum notification timeframes.
To drive in America, you need a drivers license and a car. Also need car insurance. It is illegal in most states not to have insurance.
It's illegal to drive while your d.l. is suspended.
Sure, it is not illegal to own a car without a licence and therefore is not illegal to insure a car without a licence...but it is still illegal to drive it.
No you need to have a drivers license. It is illegal to drive a car without a drivers license and that is how the finance company looks at it.
Drinking and driving is illegal everywhere. No insurance company can provide a policy for illegal activities. Drinking and driving is dangerous, not to mention that if a car accident were to happen, insurance would not cover it.
It is not very smart though it may not be illegal. You are certainly jeopardizing your insurance coverage by not telling the insurance company the truth. An insurance policy is a legal and binding contract where both parties agree to certain terms. You agree to tell the insurance company the truth about drivers, place of residence, and other factors and to pay the premiums and the insurance company agrees to take on certain risks of yours when driving a vehicle and to pay claims that arise from said owning and operating of the vehicle. If you do not tell the truth then you have broken the contract and the insurance company is then not required to hold up their end of the contract. If a big claim were to occur when your wife hit and maybe killed someone would you then want to wonder whether or not the insurance company will pay this claim or would you be solely responsible when the people sue you. This is what you are risking when you lie to save $20 on your insurance as well as committing the criminal act of fraud.
no that would be illegal
Try it. I'm sure the insurance company would love it because they would never have to pay out on the policy.
I am pretty sure you need insurance in every state except Wisconsin to get your license. In Wisconsin it is only illegal to have an accident without insurance (how silly is that!?). In ANY event, you should always have insurance to drive.
