Car accidents are unfortunate and unexpected events. If you are in a car accident, the experience, although unpleasant, will be most easily dealt with if drivers take certain precautions. All drivers should have several items that they keep in their vehicle at all times. This list includes but is not limited to:
A paper and pen to take down notes in the event of an accident.
A list of emergency service phone numbers.
A disposable camera to record evidence at the scene of an accident.
A list of any medical conditions or Allergies you may have in case of serious injury.
A set of cones, warning triangles or emergency flares to alert other drivers of an accident.
These items may be kept in the glove compartment or in the trunk of your vehicle. Although these items may prove helpful to victims of an accident, one would prefer avoiding accidents all together. Some accidents may prove to be unavoidable, but all drivers should regularly maintain their vehicle as well as practice safe driving habits in order to minimize the risk of collision.
