The engine maybe but not the whole car. If you get a "knock" in the engine when you use a lesser grade fuel then you need to use premium. Also some manufacturers suggest premium and some folks claim a tune up will last longer with premium. Personally I have never used premium in anything except a couple of really high performance cars. For cars that I used on a daily basis I never found one that I couldn't run on regular gas simply by adjusting the timing. Newer cars the computer will automatically adjust the timing for you. With premium gas running anywhere from twenty to forty cents higher a gallon....it just isn't worth it.
NO.. it does not need premium gas.. You only have to put premium gas in a car which recommends premium gas. I would recommend a fill up with some mid grade gas atleast once a month...
Bad idea. Most cars that are Premium Only are designed to take about 92 octane fuel at the lowest. The car will, in fact, run with super unleaded gas but it will create damage to your engine in the long-run. And if low octane gas is used frequently, it can greatly reduce the life of your car.
if you have a turbo engine you need premium gas, look inside your gas tank door and it will tell you what octane your car requires.
Well if you think about it, why would it say to ONLY use premium...because it only uses premium for gas. My dad teaches me about cars and stuff, so...dont put mid grade gas on your car. Follow what it said and you will be fine.
Check your user's manual. Many people mistakenly use "premium gas" because they think it is better in some way. The labels "regular" and "premium" have to do with the anti-knock characteristics of the fuel.
Big boom-boom.
That car is designed to use the regular leaded gasoline not the premium gas.
unleaded...besides that don't waste your money on premium gas, the car's not worth it.
Sorta. You have to run premium gas in it at all times. Failure to run 91 octane or above will result in the car getting very bad gas mileage, run very badly in general, and can damage the engine. It technically burns any type of gas that would be used in it, but it does require premium gas to operate. That's why it states on the dash premium fuel only.
the V6 and the GT need regular gas, however the Shelby Gt500 and Gt500 KR require premium fuel (because it is supercharged). As with any car if you put premium fuel into a car that doesn't need it you may get a bit better performance/gas mileage.
It is always okay to switch between regular and premium gasoline. With that said, it depends highly on the make of your engine whether or not your car will actually benefit at all from the use of premium gasoline. Make sure to look in your car's manual before you switch to see if your car can benefit for from the switch.
The right type of fuel will keep a car running its best. The Audi can take premium, special or regular unleaded gas.
