I would not expect a valve cover leak to cause a car to stall. A valve cover leak can fill the spark plug area with oil which can cause rough running.
Dear Honda owner, Valve cover leak? I assume you are refering to an external oil leak from the valve cover, replace the gasket, be sure the new gasket set comes with spark plug seals.
Damage caused by dosmetic animals is excluded in all homeowner's policies and it is unlikely that SC would require an exception for this exclusion for policies issued in their state. Water damage to carpeting from a plumbing system leak (if sudden as opposed to a slow leak over time) is a covered loss. Could it be that the water damage did not destroy the carpet as it could be dried and cleaned but due to the pet damage it was ruined? //

Consider putting a vinyl cover on the mattress and/or an additional "leak pad" under the baby on top of the bedding.
They have tried verious caps and domes to cover the leak. They have only stopped some of the oil from leaking out. This problem will not be solved with easy answers. BP doesn't know how to fix a leak this far down under the ocean.
