safety reasons
no .. Having a seized drive shaft would be like just having the brake on .. will still go in gear .. just wont move ..
Gear up then
any one who knows how to drive 6 gears can drive a 6 gear car .Most people who can drive a manual car can drive a 6 geared car.
A car that won't move when in reverse could indicate a problem with the transmission. It could also indicate a problem in the gear selector.
Park for automatic transmissions, and Neutral for stick shifts.
There is no drive in a standard transmission car. In most cases you will have reverse, neutral, 1st gear, 2nd gear, 3rd gear, 4th gear, and 5th gear.
my Honda acura has me stumped i will start off with this. my reverse works and the low works.but as soon as i take off i can shift into drive and it works fine.but if i come to a complete stop it wont move in drive i have to put it back down into low gear and also when i put it in park my car will still roll can you please help me thank you....my email is wildmanbianchi@AOL.com
check shift cable to transmission,it is either broke or stretched out !!!!
if its rear wheel drive then check differential and if it is a front wheel drive car or diferential is fine then a gear in the trannsmission is sheered
time to get a new car!
Low stands for Low Gear or 1st gear in the transmission.(I), is one I have never seen. If you mean 1 then that is 1st gear.
