I first need to say I have been OCD about car detailing for 30 years easily. The real truth about what soap or type of soap to wash a car are all over the place. In a complete honest opinion the car wash soaps sold at any auto store or department store are a JOKE! Over priced and telling you how safe it is and it smell's pretty are just well annoying.Hand's down the only product that is quote by me(Safe for you hand's it is safe for your paint)! is Ivory soap.Yes dish detergent washing soap.I have used ivory soap for 30+ years and will not strip any polish, wax,or harm your paint no matter how high tech the paint is on your vehicle period! In short this soap whips up the suds, cuts thru dirt, grease (and I mean literally on the grease) and as you use this washing your vehicle your glass over time will bead water like rain x all day long. Some suggestion tips is squirt the ivory into a bucket and add water, then I apply a bead of ivory strickly to the glass on the windshield and back glass and wash with bathroom towel for your hands. On the side windows doors or coupe's apply a bead of ivory to the glass only and wash the side's of your car.If you wash your car weekly and do this application your windows over time will bead water and prevent water spotting and improve rain driving and inclement weather visibility issues.I will say I do not apply ivory to my glass every week washing as it is not required because I clean all the time.My modo for ivory is simple. If it is safe for your hands it is safe for a cars paint and anyone I suggested this to Never complain's period! I in short will say this is the best car wash soap and dirt cheap at your local department store's like wally world (the cheapest) or targ-t for example's.
