If it is the right size, then yes. But why would you want to do that? if the slot is meant for a 20 amp fuse then most likely there will be more than 10 amps running through it and it will blow almost imediately
on our 2002 it is the 3rd slot down on the right in the fuse block in the glovebox,it is a 10 amp fuse
Open the bonnet and locate the fuse box next to the battery. It has a black cover on that needs to be lifted off by pressing the latch on the bottom and right hand side. Locate the 10 amp fuse in slot number 3 (it is a small 10 amp fuse positioned next to the big green fuse) and remove. Check to see if the fuse has blown. Insert new 10 amp fuse in its place, put cover back on and close bonnet.
The fuse will work just like any other but the devises protected are not designed to draw more than 10 amps. Allowing the circuit to go above that risks destroying those items. The fuse is the weakest link and is designed to blow in the event of a malfunction before damage can occur.

If you are asking can I put a 10 amp fuse in instead of a 5 amp ,the answer is yes. However do not leave it in there. It is ok in an emergency, if the 10 blows right away , then you will have to find your problem.. Always try to keep the proper size fuses installed.
