It seems to me that the contacts inside the switch may be going bad. Or the solenoid/starter may be on the brink of going bad. It is normal to turn the key all the way into start position and most accessories go out temporarily until car engine starts and then when key switch is released back into run position the rest of the accessories return power.
Thx, Ted AKA (Tn itup)
It sends a power to the starter relay/solenoid to engauge the starter. Know that the ignition switch is not what you put the key in and turn. That is the lock assembly. The ignition switch is located lower down on the steering column.
Interior lights, instrument panel and ignition are car parts. They begin with the letter i.
The ignition coil is the transformer that puts out the voltage required to make a spark jump the points of a spark plug. this in turn lights the petrol which pushed down the piston.
If it does not turn over, but the lights work, you have a bad starter.
False
Head lights on?
Yes, the ignition on a trailblazer can cause head lights to work improperly.
Could be your alternater.
Is it when the ignition lights on the brake lights are stuck on? If so adjust the brake light switch at the pedal.hope this helps Answer: Its the park lights. The vehicle is probably in park.
Let's say you park your car outside at night and not in a garage. The AUTOMATIC lights will stay on long enough to light the area up and give you time to get inside. They will then go off. Lights in a car without auto lights are designed to be turned on without the ignition being on for safety reasons. If you are driving along at night and your ignition fails you lights will still be on. Also lights draw too much amperage to be routed through the ignition switch.Let's say you park your car outside at night and not in a garage. The lights are out.
i bet it wouldn't be hard to put the headlights on the radeo power that comes on when the ignition is on...
Check to see if it has a rod coming out of the bottom area of steering column--controlled by ignition switch that may have become mal-adjusted or bent I'd start with the ignition switch....
you need a new ignition tumbler.
You have a flat battery.
No running lights but all other lights work on Chevy 2500 1999 model
