I DON'T EXACTLY KNOW IF YOUR PROBLEM IS THE SAME AS MY OWN, BUT I HAVE A 93 LUMINA VAN APV, AND I HAVE PROBLEMS WHERE I CAN NOT START MY VAN SOME TIMES AND I WASN'T GETTING ANY SPARK FROM MY WIRES, I HAD MY SON CRANK THE VAN WHILE I CHECKED WITH A SCREWDRIVER TO NEAR GROUND FOR A SPARK AND GOT NOTHING, I HTOUGHT I HAD A BAD COIL PACK, REPLACED IT AND GOT THE SAME RESULTS, WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, WHILE HAVING MY SON CRANK IT AGAIN, GETTING NOTHING, I GRABBED THE WIRE, THEN WHAM!!!, I GOT BIT, BY THE SHOCK! IT WAS FUNNY! WELL ANY WAY, I FOUND THAT WHEN I BANG ON MY DISRIBUTOR, WITH THE OLD COIL, WHILE MY SON CRANKS THE VAN WE CAN GET IT TO START, JUST ABOUT EVERY TIME, SO I DO KNOW WHAT EVER THE PROBLEM IS, IT HAS TO DO WITH SOMETHING IN THE DISTRIBUTOR, ALOT OF TIME IT STARTS UP IN THE MORNING OR WHEN NOT DRIVEN FOR A WHILE, SO HEAT MAY ALSO HAVE A PART TO PLAY IN IT. MAYBE A BAD MODULE, OR CONNECTION OF SORT. I'LL LET YOU JKNOW FOR SURE WHEN I GET TO MESS WITH IT AGAIN.

AnswerThat is what I thought might be going bad bad on my 96 lumina, does your key have a chip in it? If so try getting it replaced. It may just be a bad key. Which at the dealer here in Michigan costs $40.

There's no fun in playing it safe. Why not try something a little unhinged?
