depends on early or late model. lots of early models will just shut off while driving down the road etc, and never start again. cant rmember right now on late ,mind is on another project, sorry
If your battery is fully charged and the connections are clean and tight, the problem is probably that the contacts in the switch are corroded or worn, meaning your ignition switch will have to be replaced.
Just a suggestion. I would look into the condencer on the coil you will see it hanging on the right side if the coil.
assuming the battery and cables are good and connected....check the ignition switch..:)
A bad connection inside the ignition switch will keep it from turning the engine over.
the ignition control module could be the problem
Crank sensor has failed,Ignition control module (ICM) has failed,Bad ignition coil pack,

poor tune up.
If it stalls at idle or when slowing down, it could be a fuel filter. Or it could be the ignition control module.
Pre-ignition.
There are some causes of cancer that you have no control over, such as genetics. There are causes which you can control such as smoking, drinking, and diet.
I am not sure what causes this, but I have had times when my ignition key would not turn. The solution to the main problem is to turn the steering wheel slightly. This usually allows the ignition key to turn.
Defective ignition control module, bad connector or wires to same, broken wire from the crank sensor. The ICM can be checked at a parts store like autozone.
The cause for an error code p1361 on a Buick Park Avenue is ignition control circuit low voltage. The power or wiring leading into the circuit is damaged or incorrect.
