Their is no different name for a rider of a quarter horse that the rider of a, lets say a Morgan or a Arabian. If you mean riders in general based on what they do, it depends on what kind of riding you do, Western or English. Western it will simply be a Western rider. Same idea for English. You can narrow it down more too. Lets say you jump on your horse. You could say that you are a jumper or if you barrel race you could call yourself a barrel racer. I'm not sure how grammatically correct that is though. lolTo ride or not to ride? That's a stupid question!
