No, if a cardigan has a hood, its a hoodie.
Unless you have the proper equiptment, and expertise do not attempt to paint the hood yourself or you will be sorely dissapointed in the results. Remove the hood and take it to a trusted body shop and let them professionally paint it for you.
The hood latch
They are the gas or mechanical devices that hold the hood open.
The hood release cable.
They protect the leading edge of your hood from stone chips, bug residue, and other road debris.
Car window deflectors are not very expensive. They can cost anywhere from $25 to $50.
The Toyota Highlander has a hood with wind deflectors to help quicken, add style, and comfort. They allow for someone to ride with windows down without messing up hair and wind beating those in the vehicle.
The headlight deflectors are located in the headlight assembly. They can be difficult to remove and replace, because you have to feel your way around in the beginning.
You can find car window deflectors anywhere in the world but for a decent price you have to search around more. It would have to depend on your location for decent prices.
There are quite a few websites that sell auto wind deflectors online. Here are a few: bizrate.com, JC Whitney.com, superiorcarcare.net and autopartswarehouse.com.
some lorries have deflectors fitted over their cabs, so it becomes more streamline, it can DEFLECT the air resistance too :) The Ugly Rat

Either a lid or a cold air intake is the easiest mod for an LS1. Headers and exhaust are also fairly easy. If your Vehicle of choice has a functional ram air hood, or scoop you may drill out the hood to flow air straight into the intake, after it passes through one filter. On my WS6 the ram air hood had rivets that held in air deflectors just drill out the rivets and you now have a straight through RAM AIR hood, like it should have been from the factory.
Deflectors should typically be facing down when the heat is on to direct warm air flow towards the floor area, helping to distribute heat more evenly in the room.
To reduce the air resistance/drag acting against them and also to reduce the fuel consumption.
Wind deflectors allow for wind and rain to be deflected away from the passengers inside a car when the windows are open. They work because their shape and position make a car more aerodynamic, which forces the wind and precipitation around the open windows instead of into the vehicle.
