get under neath the truck remove bolts that hold bed to truck. disconnect wiring that goes to lights on bed. lift off bed

You can try and loosen the 6 or 8 bolts in the floor of the bed but usually they are so rusted they must be cut. Unplug the lights at the back edge of the bed right behind the bumper, remove the screws holding the gas tank filler tube to the bed and lift the bed off. Either jack it up and block it or 4 stout men can lift it.
You have to remove the fuel tank or truck bed to access it.
There are several bolts through the frame. Disconnect the fuel filling hoses, electrical then remove the nuts from the bolts that go through he frame. The bed should lift off easily then.
