the light is on for a reason first i would have someone hook up to it with a scanner to find out why it is on. the light could come on by a abs sensor going bad, abs moudle going bad, so you need to find out why it is on, then have them take it out with the scanner. abs is a code and fro some reason it has kicked the light on, so to be safe have it checked out.
After the correct repairs have been done, the light will turn itself off after a short drive.

∙ 12y agoYou don't. The ABS light is a warning light. It's telling you that there is a problem with you brakes. You need to get it looked at immediatly. Remember, your life depends on them there brakes!

but it is not really a big deal
abs is a luxury not a nessecity
i am sure your breaks are working well

∙ 12y agoThe ABS light is on because there is a problem with the system. You need to plug in a diagnostic scanning device to retrieve the code(s) and make necessary repairs. Once repairs are completed the light will go off on it's own.
