The liquid used in most deodorants is colorless in order not to stain clothes. When a transparent/colorless liquid dries it begins to reflect light (instead of letting light go trough it) and thus seems white. The same principle work with water and snow.
Because the liquid consist also of chemicals (scents, the perspiration controller, preservation ingredients etc.) the dried 'drop' leaves dry particles behind.
