If we were to use only 4 pins, that would mean that we are using only 40% of the original 10 pins. So if we are changing nothing else, the scoring system remains the same, and there are still 10 frames with 2 fill balls, then the perfect tenpin score for a game with only four pins would be 120. I simply took 40% of 300 (0.4 x 300 = 120).
