I have a box of gears and whoever said you cant replace one gear is crazy i have fixed many and no problems so just locate some old worn out transmissions and get the final drive gears out and fix yours then keep the extras for spare.

The Gemini systems on the grasshopper mowers are each a two piece unit, one on each side. First is the pump system which supplies pressurized fluid to the power drive that gives rotation to the final drive assembly. The final drive assembly is the section that the axle is mounted. Commonly if a wheel is locked up it is the final drive assembly, it contains two sets of planetary gears which are very expensive. To make matters worse only one gear cannot be replaced, they all need to be replaced at the same time, due to the close tolerance. One could go into greater details, but long story short the bad news is, if you buy all the required parts to rebuild, you have spent a considerable amount more than a refurbished part from a dealer.
