Boy, almost countless examples.
A snake can prey on a mouse and an eagle can prey on the snake, thus the snake is both prey and predator.
A frog can prey on bugs and a snake preys on the frog. Thus the frog is both predator and prey.
Just about every species that exists and/or existed serves as food to some other species resulting that almost every species are both predators and prey.
Think about a food chain its called a chain because their are countless of possibilities of who eats what. A food chain almost always starts with the energy of the energy of the sun->plants->herbivores->omnivores or carnivores-> and so on, and always ends up dead and so the fungi, moss, mushrooms and such to disintegrate them back to the earth. So if in a "food chain" a shark was on top of the food chain, well technically it couldn't be because humans could also kill/hunt them and us humans can be also killed/hunted by another species

∙ 11y agoInterdependence is what is happening with most predators. Because instead of going out to eat plants they eat other organisms. Therefore they are not self-dependent because they rely on predators for food.
