Yes it is. The problem, however, is that most comprehensive deductibles are $250, $500 or $1,000. A typical windshield shouldn't cost much more than $250.00. If your deductible is more than the repairs - it's not worth it. Some companies have different deductibles for glass repair and breakage if you purchased the extra endorsement.
