Gyarados is immune to Earthquake. Earthquake will not work against it.
The Richter scale determines earthquake magnitude by measuring how much the ground moves, and the Modified Mercalli Intensity Scale determines earthquake intensity based on damage to buildings and effects on humans.
You can think of this in the same way that satellites work to find your location for the GPS in your car. An earthquake happens and it is picked up on 3+ seismometers. These seismometers measure the waves that the earthquake produced and the velocity at which they are traveling and you look at where all the seismometer calculations run together. You have the epicenter of your earthquake.
An earthquake's Focus is located directly under the Epicenter of an earthquake. The Epicenterof an earthquake is located on the surface of the earthquake.
When 3 different earthquake stations have a radius of the area of the quake. When combined, there should only be one area overlaping with all 3 circles (radius that the stations measured) and where it overlaps, there is your epicenter. :)
earthquake
no. gyarados is part water, part flying.
yes Through a TM
i am finding the ans as well..i am using gyarados and tropius they are not affected
another gyarados, or a magikarp of the opposite gender. (it should work, I've never tried breeding Gyarados)
Dragon Dance, Waterfall, Ice Fang, Earthquake.
Gyarados could win with earthquake but Omanyte could also win with rock slide.. hmm that's hard but in a long run id go with Gyarados because he learns more moves and alot stronger than omanyte

Evolve the Staryu into Starmie and that Pokemon would be better. If you just want a Pokemon to use for surfing then either will work, but both Starmie and Gyarados work well in a team as well.
The red Gyarados is simply a shiny Gyarados. This means the red Gyarados is not any stronger or weaker than other Gyarados. Gyarados in general is considered to be a very powerful Pokemon for how easy it is to get.
Red Gyarados has no advantages over regular Gyarados. Red Gyarados is a shiny Pokemon, which has a different appearance but has identical stats to regular Gyarados.
A Magikarp can evolve into a red Gyarados. The Magikarp needs to be a shiny Magikarp in order for it to evolve into a red Gyarados. This is due to the red Gyarados simply being a shiny Gyarados.
Gyarados does not evolve
