They are just as accurate as any other power system in air guns. A lot of it has to do with the design and length of the barrel. Rifles barrels are much more accurate than smooth bore barrels.

How do airsoft gun works?

There are several different kinds of airsoft guns. In general, they all use air or gas to propel the plastic ball called a BB.Spring gunsThe simplest and cheapest airsoft guns are spring guns. As the name implies, they work by means of a spring, which pushes a piston. The spring is compressed when the gun is cocked by racking the slide or charging handle. Pulling the trigger releases the piston, spring pushes it forward, and the piston pushes the air through the barrel, expelling the BB. Electric gunsThe next step in airsift is Automatic Electric Guns, or AEGs. These guns also use a piston and a spring, but the spring compression is done by an electric motor through a gearbox. The motor can compress the spring many times in rapid succession, and the AEGs are usually automatic, which means they are able to shoot in bursts. Due to gearbox size limitations AEGs are usually replicas of rifles or submachine guns. Gas gunsGas guns use a reservoir of compressed gas and a valve. Pulling the trigger opens the valve and allows some of the gas to escape. Valves are really small, and gas reservoirs can be made in different shapes, so this system is usually used in pistols. The gas used in airsoft is most commonly the r134 air conditioning refrigerant with lubricant additives. Some guns use carbon dioxide cylinders that are also used in BB guns.

What do you use for green gas in air soft guns?

you use green gas to fire the air soft gun

Which is better air or gas bibi guns?

Air guns for you don't have to keep re-filling CO2 cartridges or buying new ones.

How does a nitro piston air rifle work?

When you cock the rifle it compresses the gas behind a piston just like a spring. Basically it replaces the spring.

Can you change spring to gas in air rifles?

Yes there are some newer spring air rifles that are capable of being switched to Nitro Piston Gas systems. Check with the manufacture.

How does a pellet gun work?

All pellet guns use compressed air or gas. 1. Spring piston: Cocking the barrel of the rifle compresses the spring and piston inside the rifle or gun that is located in an air cylinder. When you pull the trigger it releases the spring and as the spring shoots forward, it pushes compressed air ahead if it that forces the pellet out the barrel. 2. Co2: A Co2 bottle it inserted into the gun or rifle, and it is full of compressed Co2. When you pull the trigger a burst of Co2 gas is released and the gas pushes the pellet out the barrel. This same idea is used for the larger PCP rifles only they use a much higher pressure bottle. 3. Pump: When you pump the forearm of the rifle it stores air in an air chamber. When you pull the trigger all the air is released behind the pellet forcing it out the barrel. BB guns work the same way.

How does burning gasoline make a car move?

There are four steps to the cycle of a car's engine. These steps involve the combustion, or burning, of gasoline as a force that drives the procedure, and therefore moves the car. (1) Intake: The cyllinder of the engine has a piston that can move up and down, much like pushing a cotton ball up a straw. The intake stage occurs when the piston moves down the shaft. The vacuum created by the falling piston pulls gas and air into the space. (2) Compression: As more of the air/gas mixture enters the shaft of the piston, pressure increases. (3) Power/ Ignition: Eventually, the pressure reaches a critical point where the gas/ air mixture ignites, forcing the piston up and moving the car. (4) Exhaust: After the explosion, the exhaust (smoke) is released from the piston as it moves back to the rest position and begins to take in more gas and air.

In Michigan is a air rifle defined as a fire arm?

Smoothbore guns utilizing spring, gas or air to propel BBs are not "firearms" under state statutes. Rifled guns are considered to be firearms.

Are propane air soft guns dangerous?

I know of NO Propane air soft guns. Air soft and Air guns can use AIR, C02, Nitrogen and Greengas. All are safe to use.
