I am not a human medical doctor, but some blood tests can still be positive even though the pregnancy has ended a few days before. The hormones measured can stya in the system for a while. Based on what you desribed it sounds as though this is a case of early embryonic loss. This can happen when something major goes wrong in the developing embryo and it can't survive. However, prior to this it has already signaled that there is a pregnancy and the mother's body recognized it. This would be a very early "miscariage".

Make sure an ultrasound confirms where the initial pregnancy was. If it was ectopic (in your tubes or even the abdomen), there is a slim chance the pregnancy continues despite periods but will only show low HCG levels because it is not a real pregnancy.

You can test negative and still be pregnant it depends on when you took the test and when you had unprotected sex. A HPT is not accurate until atleast 14 days. There would probably be alot more blood and discomfort if you were having a miscarriage. Wait a week and take another HPT.

It is quite likely that you are experiencing a threatened miscarriage or the start of an actual one. There is also a possibility of the placenta being in the wrong place.See a doctor, who can do a scan and test blood to determine if your baby is still alive or if there is some other cause. Usually the cramps will increase in intensity along with the blood loss. However, even with light bleeding continuing for so long, you should be seeking medical help, especially if the bleeding is fresh and not simply small amounts of old blood.

Not necessarily. During the time in your pregnancy where you "would have" had your period, you are slightly more prone to spotting. It can be the placenta coming away at the edges just slightly as the uterus expands. It re-attaches itself. During this time, avoid sex because an orgasm will make the uterus expand and move and this can also upset things in the earlier stages of prenancy. (I know this from experience - and was told by a nurse to avoid this) Also, drink lots of water and rest (feet up!) during the times that you notice spotting.

Well if the bleeding is light you should be ok, go to the doctor though and tell them everything that's happened to you.

This by itself isn't a sign of pregnancy. However you do have what is called break threw bleeding while pregnant. Which means you get whats like a light period or spotting.

I have had all the symptoms of a miscarriage. was it a miscarriage?

Only your Doctor can truly answer this question. Was you definitely pregnant and was it confirmed by pregnancy test or blood test? If you are/was pregnant and you are now experiencing bleeding, abdominal cramping etc, you should go to A & E, Early Pregnancy Unit or contact your Doctor immediately.

Had a missed miscarriage Lots of cramping without any bleeding Pregnancy test is reading faded but still pregnant What can you do to flush out the pregnancy hormone?

There is NO such thing as a "missed miscarriage". You're either "pregnant" or "not pregnant". You can have a threatened miscarriage, but not a missed one. You cannot "flush out" pregnancy hormones; in fact, drinking lots of water only dilutes the urine more.Go to a doctor for a blood test and exam. These will be the most reliable.

5 weeks pregnant and cramping?

Cramping during pregnancy, unfortunately, can mean multiple things; some are okay and some are not so good. It can be gas, constipation, your uterus growing; signs of an ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, and the list can go on and on. If the cramping continues and it concerns you too much you should contact your doctor.

How do you know if you misscarried if you dont know your pregnant?

You don't.A miscarriage is diagnosed when a pregnant woman has bleeding and cramping. Checking the levels of HCG (the pregnancy hormone) and seeing it decline rather than rise is evidence that the bleeding is a miscarriage. But if the woman has bleeding but never has a pregnancy test then ther eis no way to know if it is a miscarriage.

Can you have a miscarriage if test negative for Hcg?

Is it ok to take two advil if you are cramping in early pregnancy?

No do not take Advil if you are pregnant, You can take Tylenol. If you are cramping it is a sign you might be threatening to miscarry. Treatment for threatened miscarriage is bed rest, no sex and see your doctor if symptoms worsen.

My husband and i have been trying to get pregnant. I ovulated 9 days ago and have been cramping off and on...mostly on right side... with some days worse than others. Does this mean im pregnant?

It is possible. I knew when I ovulated with my first child and I had cramping like that. Mine was from a cyst that formed after the egg burst through which is why it was cramping only on side. With my other 2 children and with 1 miscarriage I also had cramping all over just from the changes in ligaments etc... My miscarriage was a blighted ovum and had nothing to do with the cramping. Slight cramping in early pregnancy is very common.
