No. Zombies are fictional characters that only exist in books and movies. Zombies as depicted in movies, books, and games aren't real and they never will be. The current fictionalized form of the zombie is a far cry from the original zombies of Haiti. Zombies were people treated with a poison that made them appear dead, and later resurrected by the the Voodoo priest (or priestess) and put to work doing menial jobs. Unfortunately for the "zombie" the drugs used tended to do extensive damage to their brains, so they were never "themselves" again. okay, so ive been doing a bit of research. so theres this parasite called toxoplasma gondii. the parasite is most common in rats, but can spread to birds and most mammals including humans. the parasite "takes over" the brain and will of the host, and searches for cats, yes i know it sounds stupid, but the parasite can only breed in the condition of a cats stomach. so my guess is that if the parasite can adapt to the human stomach, once it has infected a human, the main goal will be to infect as many other humans, by means of biting, thus ending in a zombie apocalypse
