I don't see why you should hate Hollyleaf. She wasn't a bad cat, and she wasn't a Mary-Sue, either. She was a good, loyal warrior who wanted to follow the warrior code every moment of her life. She followed the code to a fault, actually, analyzing everything that even might go against it and pondering what she should do about it. Then she found out that her existence was against the warrior code... she was half-clan... and she went berserk.
On the other hand, she killed Ashfur to keep her mother's secret quiet, and she ran away from her clan. So if you're a huge Ashfur fan, then you probably should hate Hollyleaf.
