If it hadn't been for Poseidon, Theseus would never have been the leading hero of Athens; Jason would have been short-staffed; and Hercules would have had fewer labors. Still, if you're looking for lots of violent confrontations between mortal heroes and the trident wielder, you'll be disappointed. Most of Poseidon's work in the legends was done before the heroes were born.

Well Posiden was a God so essentially had no weakness but in greek mythology Poseiden has far less influence on freshwater than sea water and unlike Zeus posiden had very few children with humans. This would affect Posieden because Gods had rules so they needed demigods(the children they have with humans to do some things for them) there children became great heroes eg hercules. A big weakness in all greek gods was they needed worship to feed there imortality so if there were any greek gods back then they would all be dead
