One lap is usually seen as there-and-back, so a lap is twice the length of the pool. So a lap in a 25 m pool is 50 m. 1.5 km is 1500 meters. 1500 / 50 = 30

It takes 30 laps in a 25 m pool to swim 1.5 km

I am a swimmer and there is only 1 lap in a 25 meter swim. Just down, not back.
