The salt in the pool is the same as the salt on your table. Even if there are still piles of salt on the bottom of the pool, they won't hurt you, but if you have a cut on your foot, they might make it sting.

Salt is put in pools in conjunction with what is known as a pool chlorination system usually the salt is sodium chloride which is the same as table salt. The concentration is very low and is about the same as the amount found in your tears. Salt in the water makes it more comfortable to swim in and wont do you any harm. And it will not irritate your skin. Saltwater pools make their own chlorine in conjunction with a chlorinator and still require other chemicals at times to keep the water corectly balances and sanitary for swimmers.

No. B T W that does not make it a salt pool. You have to have the salt generator in order to convert the salt to chlorine.
