Japanese watch companies are using lots of plastic in their watches. It makes them very cheap, but they don't live for too long. They are definitely better then Chinese ones, but not even comparable to Swiss-made or even Russian.

Its a fake, Gucci movements are never Japanese (japan MOVT), they are always Swiss. The real Gucci watches are generally heavier and will have serial numbers and markings on the back, which are quite small. Hope this helps.
I'd be hard pressed to say "movt" usually means movement. They abreviate it like that on watches "quartz movt", but its just a guess.
