The result of the revolution in 1991 was the fall of the Communist Regime that had ruled Russia since 1917.
the Russian Revolution 12 years later
Tsar Nicholas II was the first leader overthrown as a result of the February Revolution in Russia in 1917. Alexander Kerensky, head of the Russian Provisional Government was the second leader overthrown as a result of the October Revolution in 1917.
The second Russian Revolution is considered to be the October (or Bolshevik) Revolution. The result of that revolution was the overthrow of Russia's Provisional Government, a halt to efforts to prepare a new constitution and the imposition of communist dictatorship. That dictatorship then abolished the private ownership of property and took control of all the means of production throughout the country. Any hopes that Russia would become a democratic country after the overthrow of the Tsar were quickly dispelled.
The Soviet Union came into being in 1917 as a result of the Russian Revolution. At least, that was when Russia ceased to be ruled by the Tsar.
The other name used for the revolution of 1905 is Viva La Resistance. This revolution occurred in Russia and lasted for just over 2 years.
They feared the spread of Communism
The Soviet Union was formally dissolved in 1991, leaving 15 'new' states and countries, including Russia. As a result of the 1917 Revolution, Russia became the Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic which joined with Ukraine, Belorussia and the Transcaucasus Federation to create the Soviet Union.
The 'Russian Revolution' of 1917 resulted in the downfall of one of Europe's oldest monarchical powers, Imperial Russia -- and also knocked Russia out of World War I. At the same time, it brought into being the first Communist nation in world history, namely, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
No revolution along the lines Marx foresaw has occurred. He advocated a revolution that would result in the abolition of the wages system.
There were many results to the Russian Revolution of 1917. One of the most important of which were the murder of the Romanovs and the impending Russian Civil War. In addition to the above, there were two revolutions in Russia in 1917. In March of 1917, soldiers refused to fire on striking workers, and the Duma rejected Czarist commands to dissolve. Realizing he had lost control of the government, Czar Nicholas II abdicated the throne. This resulted in the creation of a new Provisional Government. Conditions did not improve in Russia after the first revolution. The second revolution was in November of 1917. This was the Bolshevik revolution which brought on the communist dictatorship and most relevant at the time was Lenin's withdrawal from WW1. This was a promise he made to the Germans in order for them to help him return to Russia from his exile.
To make Russia richer and as a result able to spend more on improving the lives of its citizens.
