If you mean how many years it took to rebuild Mexico City from the destruction inflicted by the Spanish conquistadors after defeating the Aztecs in 1521, it never actually "recovered"; the Spanish built several administrative buildings atop the ruins of Tenochtitlan over the following 30 or so years, slowly repopulating the city.
