it does snow in Nova Scotia.
Some people think Nova Scotia is a tropical area but i can assure you it is not, it is really more like sub tropical. It is not quite suitable for growing banana's, but can sustain other warm weather plants.
Snow periodically shows up but usually melts quickly due to our subtropical climate, it doesn't accumulate year to year like it does in other provinces and therefore it doesn't form glaciers and such glacial features.
