Yes. HDMI is a world wide standard for digital video, however the source component can run at different resolutions and different vertical refresh frequencies. Most American HDMI video sources will output 720p, 1080i or 1080p at 60Hz, while UK sources will be the same resolutions but at 50Hz. Many displays will auto switch when presented with either 50Hz or 60Hz HDMI video inputs, but you would need to check the specification.
You need an HDTV for it to work and the TV has to have an HDMI connection. Then you need to turn your HDTV to the location for the HDMI that was connected
If it is a playstation 3 and the TV has HDMI input and you have a HDMI calbe then it will work.

Try putting your TV's input on HDMI then switch off your 360 pulg in the HDMI cord then put on the 360. THis should work.
Use the HDMI cable if the TV has one and change the TV over to HDMI or whatever HDMI PLUG number you used if you have more than one. Some TVs also need to have settings changed to accept HDMI and the sync.
