Athena was the Greek goddess of wisdom, crafts, and battle. She was born when Zeus, afraid to be overthrown by a new child, swallowed his pregnant wife Metis. When she had the baby inside his body, Zeus got a pounding headache. Hephaestus split his head open (Zeus was immortal. Therefore this didn't affect him.) and out sprang Athena. She is the protector of cities and the main goddess of the city Athens.

Athena is a Greek goddess known for shooting out of Zeus's head she was full grown and in armor. She is the goddess of wisdom, war and crafts. Athens was named after her. She was also the Goddess of Knowledge.
Athena is the virgin goddess of war, strategy, weaving, crafts, and invented the olive. The city Athens was said to be given to her after she won a contest between her and Poseidon. She is the daughter of Zeus and the titan Metis, who Zeus swallowed to try to avoid a prophecy.
