Mexico is geographically in North America, along with Canada and the United States. However, you should know that a small part of Mexico, specifically the eastern Yucatan Peninsula, borders the Caribbean Sea. So that area is sometimes referred to as "the Mexican Caribbean".
The Caribbean is generally thought of as the group of islands East of Mexico and South of Florida. Mexico is generally thought of as in North or Central America not the Caribbean.
