Repurposing is one of today's new buzzwords. It basically means revamping something. This includes rewriting it by making changes to it and/or reorganizing it. Now when it comes to new technology training, you have to look at things this way. Technology is constantly evolving and improving. So procedures and features can very easily change over time. For example, MS Word 97 compared to MS Word 2003. Some of the screens look different. There are new features in 2003 that weren't available in 97. Where certain menu items are located vary between the two versions. So repurposing a training manual on how to use MS Word would need to be revised to account for these. As a college professor, I often get updated versions of textbooks. Sometimes, it's minor changes like updating material to be a little more current or correcting errors. But other times, it's more major with chapters being rotated, added, or deleted. So the bottom-line is repurposing mean revising in some way!
