Chet Trail was a minor league Baseball player from 1963-1969. He has the distinction of being the only player in history to be on a Major League postseason roster, '64 Yankees, while never playing in a major league game.
I saw Trail play several games for the Greensboro Yankees, a Class A team in the Carolina League. I was only about 10-11 years old at the time, but he was my favorite G-Yank. A very solid infielder, good speed, hit with some power.
The only other player I saw in Greensboro who was similarly talented was Bobby Murcer.
