Sports journalism is the reporting of news and information related to sports. This can include news about games, the various professional leagues, the players, coaches and staff, a team's impact on the local community and economy, etc. Sports journalism is not limited by medium - it can occur in print, broadcast or online mediums.

Broadcast Journalism is journalism delivered primarily through audio and video mediums, as opposed to only the written word in a print publication. While broadcast journalism can include sports journalism it also includes news, features, weather and investigative journalism as well. Television and radio news are the most common aspects of broadcast journalism. A video segment on an online outlet would also count as broadcast journalism.
