Each league is divided into three divisions. At the end of the season, the best team in each division AND the best team left after those three are taken out (the wild card) will go to the playoffs. It is just a bracket system from then on.
In each League, the division winner with the highest win percentage will play the wild card team, and the two remaining teams will play each other. The exception is when the division winner with the highest win percentage is in the same division as the wild card team, in which case the division winner with the second highest win percentage will play the wild card team, and the two remaining teams will play each other. If more that one team has the highest win percentage, a tie-breaker system will be used to determine which team shall play the wild card team.
