Development of sociology was precipitated at the onset of agrarian revolution.As new methods of agriculture were being invented,industries grew because now production was in surplus and human population was not enough to convert them into consumables...Industrialization in itself gave rise to settlement around the industries.People moved from their former settlement to centers where industries were located,this in modern terms is called 'URBANIZATION'.Urbanization brought about several reppurcations in way of life,changes in culture,is what now brought about interest ,this interest in the society in respect to how this changes affect and are addressed is what is called sociology.So in a nutshell,agrarian revolution,industrialization and urbanization are the contributorieS to sociology
