I'm not 100% sure about this, but I have been doing a report on asymmetries betweent the right and left hands and the differences in these asymmetries between right- and left-handers, and from the information I have come across the 1 to 9 ratio seems to be pretty well accepted. (10% left-handed / 90% right-handed).
Please correct me if you have more specific or up to date info.
I believe ur right about that and of that 10%, 70% are males and 30% are females which means that 90% of the world is right-handed and 10% is left, 7% of the world is left-handed males and 3% is left-handed females.
I believe you may be wrong because if 10% of people are left handed then 90% of people are right handed then how many people are ambidextrious?
^The amount of ambidextrous people is assumed to be negligible in this case.
About 10 % see http://www.scq.ubc.ca/the-fighting-hypothesis-stability-of-polymorphism-in-human-handedness/
Most humans are right handed but this may be as a result of centuries of disapproval of left handedness and therefore children were forced to be right handed in case they were accused of being odd or 'of the dark side'. The word sinister means to be on the left in heraldic language. In France a sinistre is a fire started deliberately. It has dark connotations whereas to be dextrous or have dexterity is to be on the right and be quick handed. Left handedness is inherited and along with red hair may be a genetic trait of Neanderthal man. This is of interest but not proven to be true.
more people are right handed in the world...
On average, there is no significant difference in life expectancy between left-handed and right-handed people. Other factors such as genetics, lifestyle choices, and access to healthcare play a more significant role in determining lifespan.
Individuals who are right-handed have an average lifespan that is 9 years longer than those who are left-handed.
The ratio of left handed people to right handed people is 1:10 and there are around 6,692,030,277 in the world, so that means that around 6 022 827 249 right handed people.

588 pitchers have appeared in at least one game in 2009. 420 are right handed, and 168 are left handed. This means that 71% of pitchers are right handed and 29% are left-handed, which comes to a righty-to-lefty ratio of about 2.5:1.
The ratio of right-handed players to left-handed players on the Jackals baseball team can be calculated by dividing the number of right-handed players by the number of left-handed players. In this case, the ratio would be 28 right-handed players divided by 16 left-handed players, which simplifies to 7:4. This means that for every 7 right-handed players on the team, there are 4 left-handed players.

Approximately 90% of people are right-handed, while approximately 10% are left-handed. This means that right-handed people are more common than left-handed people.
For right handed people they do catch with their left and throw with their right. For left handed people, they catch with their right and throw with their left. Both players have to potential to bat from either side of the plate.
Most people are right handed & fewer people are left handed. Some people even think it's better to be right handed! But the truth is, it really doesn't matter. So if you're left or right handed...Both of them are good!
believe it or not right handed people live longer then left handed people (on this juice lid it said: left hand people die 9 or 6 years earlier then right handed people) dont worry the people who are left hand im with u...im left handed to
