Northern & southern Italy are very different from each other in standards of economic standing, education, and even food. In southern Italy people are very poor and most children go to school only a few years, if at all. The villages are poor, there is more crime. Food is made slightly differently and many people are farmers. It is not as populated with tourists. In northern Italy people are usually more wealthy, have better jobs, kids go to school and even college, the areas are rich with tourism so their economy is better. Also northern Italy borders with Switzerland and Germany and people come and go between countries so, there is more racial diversity and more opportunities available.
