I'm not saying I would get rid of homework entirely, but I'd implement some kind of limit on it. I spent nine hours doing homework one night my junior year of high school, and I wouldn't wish that on anybody.
The complete digitalization of books. The textbook industry in the United States is a massive scam, as they barely change anything between editions that can end up costing students hundreds of dollars per new book! It's also made worse when courses require these new editions over old ones, making the barrier for entry based mostly on an individual's economic status. Access to these types of resources should not only be free, but made easily available via technology.
School systems (especially in large cities) need to re-work how they get funded. In places with majority low-income residents, the property taxes are simply not enough to help the schools keep up with higher-income districts. Leading to poorer outcomes for the students and less opportunities for a career, which leads to lower incomes and lower property taxes coming in, rinse and repeat.
I would change the meal structure. The quality of food served in the United
States is equal to prison food. Looking at other countries they serve fruits, vegetables, fish and wonderful healthy food made by professionals. In the US they serve processed garbage. There are many children who's parents are unable to feed them and their only source of nutrition comes from school lunches.
If you want to see something sad then look up school lunches worldwide compared to the US.
If I could, I would make studying fun as some students (including me) have no choice from their parents whether or not to study. I feel excluded from my group of friends because they would always talk about things that I'm not included in. This causes depression (for me, this lasted 5-10 years).
Have more value based real world education versus subject content. Courses in finance, healthcare and business can be incorporated earlier to promote learning for student professional success. It's amazing what young mindd can digest and what they are ready for
Establish longer days and more homework. Increase research papers and mandatory reading of essential books and novels. Teach US History and civics based on FACTS and beginning in Kindergarten. Strong discipline and expulsion for extremely problematic students. One curriculum for all no race-based curriculum allowed.
Make school 10am - 3pm. Cuz no1 likes waking up early
Focus the interest of individuals and develop it or enhance the their knowledge then diffentiate their capabilities... 😁
... it's difficult to serve two master... 😁
I would make education little cheaper so that everyone can afford to get their kids educated and has to be easily available in the country.
An example of a closed system in sociology would be a traditional society where social norms and practices are rigidly enforced, leaving little room for external influences or change. This could include closed religious communities or societies with strict caste systems that limit social mobility and interaction with outsiders.
Traditionally, movement within the caste system in India is limited, as caste is determined at birth and seen as a deeply ingrained social structure. However, there have been efforts to promote social mobility through affirmative action policies and education reforms to reduce caste-based discrimination and provide opportunities for those in lower castes to improve their circumstances.
Bilingual means a person knows one or more languages. Race has nothing to do with it and neither does ethnicity. A Martian could come to earth and learn English and he would be bilingual.
Conflict theorists would view social change as a result of power struggles and inequalities within society. They would argue that social change occurs when dominant groups are challenged by subordinate groups seeking to shift power dynamics to better meet their needs and interests. Conflict theorists believe that social change is driven by competition and conflict over scarce resources and power.
Dates change each year because our calendar system is based on the solar year, which is approximately 365.25 days long. To account for this extra fraction of a day, we add a leap day every four years in a leap year. This adjustment helps keep our calendar in alignment with the Earth's orbit around the sun.
