I'm not 100% sure about this, but I have been doing a report on asymmetries betweent the right and left hands and the differences in these asymmetries between right- and left-handers, and from the information I have come across the 1 to 9 ratio seems to be pretty well accepted. (10% left-handed / 90% right-handed).
Please correct me if you have more specific or up to date info.
I believe ur right about that and of that 10%, 70% are males and 30% are females which means that 90% of the world is right-handed and 10% is left, 7% of the world is left-handed males and 3% is left-handed females.
I believe you may be wrong because if 10% of people are left handed then 90% of people are right handed then how many people are ambidextrious?
^The amount of ambidextrous people is assumed to be negligible in this case.
The generally accepted figure seems to be 10% of the world's population. So as a ratio, that's 9 right handed people to 1 left handed person, or 9:1.
About 10 % see http://www.scq.ubc.ca/the-fighting-hypothesis-stability-of-polymorphism-in-human-handedness/
No There is actually more right handed people then left handed people here are the mere results /10 left handed 6.43 right handed 3.57 I think
Actually there are more right-handed people because being right-handed is a dominant trait, while being left-handed is a recessive trait.
well there are more right handed people in the world. btw right handed people ROCK and are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ratio of left handed people to right handed people is 1:10 and there are around 6,692,030,277 in the world, so that means that around 6 022 827 249 right handed people.

588 pitchers have appeared in at least one game in 2009. 420 are right handed, and 168 are left handed. This means that 71% of pitchers are right handed and 29% are left-handed, which comes to a righty-to-lefty ratio of about 2.5:1.

A left handed hitter only hits right handed people
Most people are right handed & fewer people are left handed. Some people even think it's better to be right handed! But the truth is, it really doesn't matter. So if you're left or right handed...Both of them are good!
Actually there are more right-handed people because being right-handed is a dominant trait, while being left-handed is a recessive trait.
