I don't know about famous foods but one of my favourite Norwegian foods is gjetost it's a whey based cheese which looks like a large block of caramel. It's sweet and nutty and is easily sliced using one of those Scandinavian cheese planes. Thin slices on buttered rye bread with lingonberry conserve on top and a cup of strong black coffee for breakfast. Superb!
a other norwegian spesialty is fårikål is get in cabbage, and it's quite good. namnam, like we say in Norway.
We like of course to import food from all over the world! :)
We have a mix of different food and we eat all the time! :) And I mean ALL the time!:P
but different spesialeties: Kongekrabbe(Kingcrab) Kjøttkaker (big meatbolls) Pinnekjøtt(lamb -ribs) lutefisk(i really don't know the English name) Tørrfisk(dried cod, for use i.e. baccalao)
and so much more!
Norway has very much good food, so just take a gastronomical trip ;)
