Approximatly 300.00 a month, really depending on how big the church is and the fianances. ***$300.00 per month is considered by most organists to be a VERY poorly paid position and, speaking personally, I would not consider such a position. The rate of an organist largely depends on, as mentioned in the previous email, the size of the church and its finances. It also depends very much on the responsibilities of the church musician, his or her experience and education and the circumstances of the playing.
