This question is a bit vague to answer. Often bishops raise their hand in blessing. Bishops may also offer their hand that the faithful may reverence the ring they wear which is a symbol of their position as a prince of the Church. The reverence made by the faithful here is a demonstration of faith towards the Church hierarchy, specifcally the bishop's office, not to the man himself. Perhaps it would be worth submitting a question that is a bit more precise in its wording if the above answers have not addressed your query.

If asking about the deformity seen in an ulnar nerve palsy, it is a wasting of the hypothenar, interossei and 2 medial lumbrical muscles in the hand. (causes flexion of the 4th and 5th digits) (magee) all from the ulnar nerve being impinged or damaged. ^__^

There's no fun in playing it safe. Why not try something a little unhinged?
